About the Instructor
For 25 years, Marisol worked for the Los Angeles Superior Court (10 years in criminal proceedings and 15 years in civil litigation). She completed a certification program at California State University, Los Angeles in legal interpretation and translation. Soon after, she completed the InterpreterEd.com 40-hour Medical Healthcare Interpreter Training course and became nationally certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters. She also completed a domestic violence advocate training program to work as an interpreter in women's shelters and for other women’s advocacy causes.
Marisol is currently an independent contractor working as a certified healthcare Interpreter with extensive experience in video, phone, and in-person interpreting, specializing in simultaneous interpretation. She is an active member and volunteer for the California Healthcare Interpreting Association and member of the International Medical Interpreters Association and the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care.
As an accomplished instructor for InterpreterEd.com, Marisol also contributes to the company’s program development efforts.
